Uncertain fuzzy values still in the framework of first-order logi

In this paper we rst summarize t he more important aspects of a Logic Fuzzy Relational Database and w e s h ow h ow a fuzzy relational database can be representedand h andled using rst order logic. Given that t he results obtained for fuzzy databasesare satisfactory, we are tackling now t he problem of uncertain fuzzy databases considering that t he fuzzy values stored in the d a tabase are attached a certainty v alue. For it is possible that w e s t ill are in the framework of rst order logic, a transformation function on uncertain fuzzy values is introduced. T h e i d ea is to transform uncertainty i n to imprecision in such a way that an uncertain fuzzy value is transformedinto a more imprecise but certain fuzzy value. With t his transformation, all the original uncertain fuzzy values become true and truth levels are not needed.
